Yule tide preferences :)

Colors; Earth tones, rich vibrant greens, oranges, gold’s, browns, reds WARM colors not really a fan of cool tones though a rich royal purple, emerald and turquoise are lovely as well. Creams, warm toffee, and vanilla-esk neutrals are great, I am not a fan of grays or silvers and I LOATHE pink, mauve, and rose.

Treats; I love dark chocolate, mints, candy canes and old fashion treats (( I like most holiday treats to be honest ;)

Favorite Scents: sandalwood, lemon, hyssop flowers, bergamot, chamomile

I love wool, other natural fibers are fine I am not a fan of acrylics and tend to get rashes from clothing with polyester/nylon etc. Favorite yarn brands are Knit picks, Malabrigo, Noro, Mountain colors; barefoot, peace fleece, and my absolute favorite is the plucky knitter worsted merino though I am happy to try others of course!!

Hand wash is NO problem just need to know before hand.

My queue is a good place to look for my favorite patterns as well as my faves list.
I LOVE Elizabeth Zimmerman and would love even the most beat up of her books so long as they are legible, Ysolda Teague !! I LOVE her patterns though I only have Verity, Ishbel and Coraline.

Stitch markers are always needed but I’m boring and prefer more utilitarian Clover Locking Stitch Markers or small “fancy ones” I don’t like a lot of strange weight while knitting :P

GORGEOUS green malabrigo cowl and lace yarn to go with Lady of the woods fingerless Mittens pattern (SO beautiful). When ever I go to thrift stores I ALWAYS check for darning eggs my neighbor has some that she has had for 50 plus years and I adore the darker aged look of hers and though the pale new wood of the ones at my local yarn store are lovely in their own right I've never wanted to spend the money on one as they just never "felt" right --yes I'm odd. ANYWAY my kit contained a PERFECT darning egg that was exactly what I'd wanted and I have NO idea if it is new or vintage but I couldn't be happier so THANK YOU!!! And last but not least lemon heads(yum!) and a cute deathly hallows cushion!

The tale of the absentminded spoiler

Once upon a time there was a witch names Minerva Lovegood and for some unknown reason in the pre-winter season of 2010 she was desperately distracted. THANK goodness her gifts and packages were nearly ready to go and was only an internet "flake". It has more than once crossed Minerva's mind that perhaps she was cursed as to not be able to chat freely online...

Anyway my kit is days from being ready to package and go except ONE thing that will take an hour or so to make which MUST be made the morning before the owl sets sale to ensure a safe and fresh landing. :):)

In exciting news there was a Knitting circle teleconference with Kate Jacobs Author of "the Friday Night knitting club" "Knit two" and "Knit the Season". So we were able to ask whatever questions we wished etc it was a lot of fun AND I won a signed copy of Knit the season as well as a "sock it to me" sock chart which I've been WANTING so... YAY!!
